BEFORE LEAVINGBAGGAGE  
Passengers are requested to label their hand/hold baggage with personal data (name, surname, address and phone number) and to keep hold baggage claim receipts untill the arrival at destination, assuring the removal of previous travel labels.

Passengers are asked not to leave their baggage unattended in the terminal area.

Hold baggage restrictions
Sizes, weight and pieces of checked luggage may vary by airline, therefore it's necessary to directly contact the airline for information on maximum weight allowed and applied fees.

Passengers are not permitted to carry explosive devices and flammable materials in their hold baggage such as:
  • ammunition, detonators and primers;
  • detonators and mines; mines, granades and other explosive materials;
  • fireworks and all ther explosive materials.
No restriction for liquids carried inside checked baggages.

Carry-on baggage restrictions
Only one piece fo hand-baggage is allowed, passengers are asked to verify Airline rules on weight and dimensions allowance, visiting its website.

Passengers are not allowed to carry (after security check) following items:
  • guns and weapons;
  • stunning devices;
  • objects with sharp point or edge;
  • tools;
  • blunt instruments;
  • explosive devices and flammable materials;
Liquids may be carried in the carry-on baggage provided they are in a container with a maximum capacity of 100 ml; each container must be stowed in a sealable, transparent plastic bag with a volume of no more than 1 liter

NEWS - New rules about carrying liquids on aircaft cabins
From January 31 2014, new rules about carrying liquids on aircaft cabins are in force in the European Union.

The new legislation "Regolamento di Esecuzione UE n. 246/2013" amended the EU Regulation 185/2010 and introduced a further security check with the latest generation of equipment, for liquids, aerosols and gels (so-called LAG) of volume greater than 100 ml to be used on board for medical purposes or for special diet reasons, food for infants included, which had no restrictions before now.

That said, passengers departing from Alghero Airport are invited to go to security point "A", equippped with appropiate devices for LAGS checks ( Liquid, Aerosol, Gel).

ALL LIQUIDS IN CONTAINERS EQUAL TO OR EXCEEDING THE CAPACITY OF 100 ML CAN BE CARRIED ONLY IN THE HOLD BAGGAGE.

Campaign EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) regarding lithium batteries on board aircrafts
ENAC (Italian National Agency for Civil Aviation) welcomes the initiative of the EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) for an informational campaign to raise awareness about the presence of lithium batteries on board aircrafts, in order to inform passengers on their potential risks (particularly with the aim of highlighting how, in certain conditions, the lithium batteries may cause fire on board).

Missing baggage
In case of missing baggage, at the check-in hall a Lost & Found desk is available for your lost baggage claims.

Weapons
In accordance with travel regulations it's forbidden to carry any type of weapon in hand baggage.
Weapon transport in hold baggage is allowed in accordance with special regulations and Airlines restrictions.
