Up to Annex n° 14 ICAO ( International Civil Aviation Organization ) the Safety Management System (SMS) is a system apt to grant that airport operations are conducted under predetermined safe conditions, while assessing the effectiveness of the system itself in order to intervene and correct any deviations from them.

The SMS determines how identify processes, procedures and resources to implementation the Sogeaal company’s safety policy ,and it defines influences and responsibilities of employees.

The safety management is an essential part of the Sogeaal general management since 2006.

The SMS is a structure dependent on Sogeaal company, but all the subjects - both public and private - operating inside the airport must conform to the airport safety requirements, and they are duty bound to join forces with the safety aims, reporting any occurrence could impact to the airport safety (Safety Responsibility).
