SO.GE.A.AL
SpA is the Management Company of Alghero Airport.
In 1994, the Province of Sassari decided to found Sogeaal
to meet the requirements of new legislation that freed up
terminal businesses and aeronautical services, with the
aim of determining social-economic growth and of giving
value to local resources and businesses, in accordance with
European directives drawn up with the help of the Italian
government.
Despite the uncertain climate, the contradictory nature
was stimulating, and the idea of creating a new management
company to run Alghero Airport – Fertilia was shared
by the Sassari Chamber of Commerce, the towns of Alghero
and Sassari, and supported by the Region of Sardinia which,
together with SFIRS (Regional Public Financing), became
part of the company capital.
SO.GE.A.AL SpA began operating on the 15th March 1996, receiving
urgent authorisation to operate for Civilavia, and whilst
awaiting authorisation for full management.
The main characteristic of SO.GE.A.AL SpA’s activities
has been the effort made and results obtained over the last
few years, which have also been a success on a social level.
Renewal of ISO 9001:2000 quality certification of land services
for passengers, luggage, air transport and pre-boarding
safety.
